The Burroughs Scholars Awards Assembly will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 to recognize students with a GPA of 3.5 and above and no U’s (Unsatisfactory). There will also be a special recognition for students with a GPA of 4.0. Congratulations to all Burroughs Scholars! We are proud of our students!

The 2010 JB t-shirt and hooded sweatshirt are now on sale at the student store! Prices are $8 for the t-shirt, $18 for the sweatshirt, but will increase to $10 for the t-shirt and $20 for the sweatshirt on Wednesday, March 17th.

Cuss Free Week - March 1, 2010 (Cuss Free Month!)
At John Burroughs Middle School, we use words to build, not destroy. Next week is recognized as a Cuss Free Week. It is a week dedicated to bring awareness to the positive effects of using good language. No cussing club members in all 50 US states and around the World, join in a week of No Cussing, No Cursing, No Swearing, No Bad Language. Please support us in our efforts to use words to build a positive learning environment.

Class of 2009: DVDs are now available for pick up at the school's student store from 10am-3pm. Please bring your receipt. If you do not have your receipt, the student must present a school I.D.

Demanding Excellence - Ready to Begin School On Time - Zero Tolerance for Tardy - All Students are Required to be in Class at the Start of Each Period
School begins promptly at 7:50 a.m. Every student needs to be in his/her seat ready for instruction by 7:57 a.m. At 7:57 a.m. all exterior gates will be closed and all late students will be directed to enter through the front entrance.
