SBAC Test Security Guidelines

Dear Parents and Students of John Burroughs Middle School,

Thank you for your continued support in the SBAC Testing.

We want to remind you of the importance of adhering with test security guidelines.

The state of California takes this as a serious matter.

Students are not allowed to access an unauthorized electronic device during the entire testing period. This can lead to their test score being invalidated by the state.

If the school collects many violations, the school is at risk of further sanctions and consequences.

As of today, multiple violations have occurred despite numerous warnings to the students.

Parents, please talk to your students and remind them of the following:
1. Students are to remove their cellular devices and/or any other unauthorized electronic devices including apple watches and place them in their backpack.
2. Backpacks will be placed in the designated area by the teacher
3. After completing their test on their ipad or chromebook, students may not surf the web or use other apps during the testing period.
4. Students are to shut down their ipad after they complete the test.
5. They may not access the web, or use apps after they have completed their test after the testing period.

We apologize for any inconvenience. We are required to conform with state testing policy from the ca dept of education.
